Warm Atmosphere and Delicious Food
I recently spent a night in a Double Room and had an excellent experience overall. The warm and inviting pub atmosphere, coupled with attentive staff and a well-prepared dinner, truly made my stay enjoyable. Breakfast featuring local products was particularly delightful. The music in the bar area could have been a bit quieter to enhance the dining experience.

It was just a nice choice for getting around the area in Morpeth with great value for money. The staff were super friendly, and my daughter loved spending time with the dog near the fire. Make sure to try the sticky toffee pudding. it’s a must!

The gastro pub vibe shines through with an extensive menu focused on hearty meals, guaranteed to satisfy after a long day of adventures. The beer garden offers a nice, open spot to unwind outside, enhancing the charming village atmosphere.
The bedrooms lack proper soundproofing, making even light chatter from next door feel intrusive, which could spoil a good night's rest for many. Breakfast starts late, around 8:30 AM, which might not sit well with early risers needing to be on their way, and opting for take-away sandwiches doesn't quite hit the mark. the dining area could feel less welcoming with its sparse decor and more functional layout, which may not charm everyone.

extensive drink selection, pet-friendly environment, vibrant pub culture
The communal stairs and corridors felt neglected!!! the bathroom could use better storage arrangements – it was quite limited for a space meant for accessibility. Additional detailing in maintenance would enhance overall safety too!!!

we stayed at the beresford arms for 2 nights and it was amazin! the rooms were spacious and super comfy, and the decor was really nice after the refurbishment. the food in the restaurant was out of this world, especially the fish and chips we had. staff were friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. loved sittin in the bar with a cozy fire too!
the only things i think could be better are more options on the dessert menu and maybe some gluten free sausage options for breakfast.
